Skin & Scales

Skin & Scales focuses on the visual and metaphorical concepts of individual identity and participation. Throughout the creation, this series' themes have evolved, once representative of one's vulnerability and growth, now the series takes on a comprehensive purpose spawned from the collaboration and the ceremony of the shoot. Each session with the subject is distinctive, as they are tailored to the individuals themselves, as they too are independently unique.

In its entirety, the experience that I hoped to create for each individual as they participated was the ultimate purpose of this series. I encourage the viewer to contribute to this experience by thinking on their interpretations of what they see and feel.
